What is the delivery time on my GRADEBLADE?
Standard Crumbing Blades and Squeegee Blades up to 72 inches normally ship by UPS within the U.S. Large custom blades ship by LTL freight. We can also ship to Canada and Mexico; additional freight charges may apply. For LTL shipments, a commercial address with a dock or forklift, or pickup at a nearby freight depot, is usually the most economical arrangement.
How do I Install my GRADEBLADE?
Every shipped GRADEBLADE comes with a chain binder, a weld-on hook, and an instruction sheet. One small weld is all that is needed for the hook on the back of your bucket. You just slip the Gradeblade over your bucket teeth and cinch it up with the chain binder to the hook you welded on. See the full demonstration video lower on this page.
Is there a warranty on Gradeblades?
Gradeblade offers a manufacturer’s warranty. Our warranty protects against all defects in the material or workmanship. We will repair or replace your new GRADEBLADE at no additional cost. Any flaw or damage that is a direct result of product misuse or abuse is excluded from warranty coverage.
What is your return policy?
If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your Gradeblade, or if your blade arrived damaged please contact us at 503-470-5003. We will try our best to accommodate your needs.
Which Gradeblade do I need: Crumbing or Squeegee?
Choose a Crumbing Blade when you want a blade approximately the width of your bucket for smoothing trench bottoms, backfill and controlled grading. Choose a Squeegee Blade when you want a blade wider than the bucket for finish grading and site cleanup. Squeegee Blades have wings that help gather and redistribute loose material.
Will Gradeblade fit my toothed bucket?
Gradeblade is designed for toothed backhoe and excavator buckets. Standard models cover many common bucket widths and tooth arrangements. For an unusual bucket or a large custom blade, send us a photo and measurements of the bucket, teeth and tooth spacing so we can confirm the correct fit before ordering.
Why use a Gradeblade instead of changing to a cleanout bucket?
A Gradeblade lets you keep the digging bucket on the machine. Dig normally, attach the blade for smoothing or cleanup, then remove it when you need the teeth again. That can save a bucket change and reduce hand finishing with rakes and shovels.
